A Writing Retreat
Set in a quiet, friendly, and safe 1950s-era neighborhood on the
north side of Orlando, adjoining Winter Park, this writing retreat is available for creating or refining your fiction masterpiece or nonfiction project. Amenities include on-site parking, wireless Internet access, and kitchen and laundry privileges.
But, primarily, writers are entitled to almost as much editorial guidance and assistance as they might want!
All flat rates (tax included) provide for some meals, some snacks,
and free writing time in an environment of your choice—
- write in the solitude of your own room,
- write at the family dining table of the main house,
- write in one of a variety of outside writing areas, or
- write at a choice of local coffee shops or bookstores.
If that's not enough, you can find additional serenity for plotting, planning, or writing at nearby historic Leu Gardens as well as a number of other museums and parks in the area. You'll also have a variety of exercise options along the Cady Way Trail or with the outdoor facilities in nearby Baldwin Park.
Rates and availability fluctuate throughout the year, but are generally $700 per week or $2000 for the month; a special long-"weekender" rate is also available for $375—any consecutive four days/three nights that we are not already booked. Remember, that includes most of the comforts of home, none of the distractions, and your own editor!
